Today, we had freezing rain throughout the day. It stuck to the ground and looks and feels a bit like snow. We brought Abbey outside to play in it for a bit, and she loved walking in the "snow." She even sat in it and moved her legs as if trying to make a snow angel. We look forward to the day when she can play in the real stuff.
January has flown by as we adjusted from the holidays and are preparing for some trips in 2010, including upcoming visits to Wisconsin, Hawaii, and Austin. We're excited to bring Abbey to some new places, as well as some familiar ones. More to come as our 2010 excursions approach.
Otherwise, all is well. Abbey is climbing on everything (and we mean everything), and she's forming more and more words and practicing her sign language. She recently had her 18 month checkup; her head size is in the 99th percentile and her weight and length are in the 60s. She's doing great and has no issues with her heart. We'll go back to her cardiologist in July for a checkup, but we expect everything to be ok.
Hope everyone is staying warm and looking forward to spring.
With love,
The Walberg Family
