Um, yeah, Ainsley is 6 months old already….
I guess I’m failing at my picture taking and website updating goal. Yikes. I’m trying. I really am – and I won’t even use the excuse that our internet has been down since the 4th of July (even though it truly was….) I’m sorry Ainsley (and to all of your adoring fans). I will try harder over the next 6 months to update more regularly.
So, our little girl isn’t so little any more. She’s 16+lbs and a chunky little monkey. She is still a sweet little baby though and her interest in the world continues to grow. She adores watching both her big sister Abby and her furry brother Buddy. Honestly, it’s the cutest thing to watch her watch them --- adorable.
She’s starting to ‘rock’ on all fours this week…which is the scariest thing for me. I’m just not ready for her to be mobile. I keep telling her that she has the rest of her life to move, but apparently no amount of coercion is going to stop her from crawling. Yikes.
Let’s see – it’s been several months since I last updated and we’ve been quite busy (shocker, I know.) We spent a few days in July visiting the Day Grandparents in VA (Ainsley’s first trip to Abingdon and it was a successful one!) Then in August, Ainsley made her first flight to NJ to spend a week with the Colman clan at the beach. It was a wonderful trip and she, as anticipated, proved to be a great traveler. There are plenty of pictures from both trips included in the most recent album (Months 5 and 6).
Ainsley has her next appointment at the beginning of October (it’s technically her 6 month appointment….a little late). I know, I know – second babies always suffer with these types of things. I’ll have her updated stats and will post a new entry as soon as I can. We will be celebrating Abby’s 2nd birthday around that time as well, so there will be loads of pictures to share.
Hope all is well with you and yours!
Kindest Regards,
The Day Family
