2 Months and 1 Week!

It's so hard to believe that another month has gone by since we've last updated this Baby Site for Landon. WOW is time ever going by way too fast!! This month has brought so many milestones and changes it's unbelievable - and I don't even know where to start!

Landon weighed in at his 2 Month Dr.'s appointment an even 13 pounds, and so close to 24 inches. He certainly has grown leaps and bounds from the tiny 7 lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inches!!! Although he still has managed to reamin in his Newborn pants and shorts, and we're still not seeing him outgrowing those any time soon.... he just has the tiniest waist that it's the only size that will stay up around his waist! But he has graduated into 0-3 Month T-Shirts, Onesies, PJ's and Overalls.

We only did 1 of the 3 shots at his 2 month appointment and opted to go back in another month for the other 2 -- we were fearful of how his little body would react to them, and it's a good thing we held off on the other 2! He was pretty miserable for the next 2 days.

We've found 3 new favorite things his last month, the 1st is his side to side swing. This little gem of a toy was at Brad's office... but it only took putting him in it once while we were there for a visit to snatch it up and bring it home! It loved it so much that it was too much of a gem to not have for every day use. Then the 2nd favorite thing is his "Kickin' Coaster" -- this is his awake time toy (he sleeps in the swing). He sits in it and kicks a screen that's at his feet and it moves him up an incline. The last favorite thing is his "Bumbo Seat" -- he just loves sitting up like a big boy and this wonderful seat keeps him sitting tall and secure!

We've also had lots of 1st's this month! We've had TRUE smiles that are SO not gas. He loves looking at our faces and grins from ear to ear. He really is a happy boy most of the time. He also had his first boat ride, which we took lots of pictures of and they're in his photo albums. He enjoyed himself when we were going slower, but when the boat got real fast (we were tubing (not Landon and I) so Lee (the driver) was trying to knock people off the tubes) he didn't like the wind and the super fast movement. Oh I'm sure there were lots more firsts, just too many to remember!

The other big milestone we hit was him being able to have water bottles. It's been a saving grace for mom and helps to not nurse QUITE so often. Yesterday he nursed at 2:00 pm, drank 6 ounces of water, and then nursed again at 4:00 pm -- so he's getting qutie dehyrdated in the heat -- even though we have Central Air! He even held his water bottle on his own for a brief 10 seconds just yesterday :)

There's lots of excitement coming up -- he has his 1st road trip on Tuesday, my mom and I are taking him to Bemus Point to visit my aunt coming in from Arizona. And then when we get back on Thursday we have to re-pack and catch a flight Friday morning to Tennesee! Brad is on a Mission Trip out there with the Youth Group, so we're meeting him for the 2nd leg of the trip and staying 5 days down there. His 1st Plane Ride!!!

Hope everyone is doing well, we send our love!

With Love,
Brad & Aly
