Lucy is officially 2 ˝ weeks away from her first birthday! She is turning into a toddler before our eyes. It really seems daily she is changing and growing in such dramatic ways! She started crawling just after she turned 11 months pretty slowly at first and now she can cruise across a room pretty fast. She can pull herself up now on pretty much anything and loves to walk along the couch or ottoman. She has stood on her own for about 20 seconds and we really think she could be walking by her 1 year birthday.
Her favorite time of the day is bath time! She loves being in water. She had her first outing to a pool a few weeks ago and on Labor Day adventured into a lake for the first time. She splashes and wants to kick her legs up and float all the time.
She is eating pretty much everything we are now, she is taking solids a lot better than month ago. It’s been fun watching this area develop. She is not a picky eater at all, she loves veggies, meat; the only thing I can think of that she doesn’t eat is tomatoes- just like her mom!
She doesn’t say “baby” as much as she used to but loves baby dolls. She just started saying “tickle, tickle, tickle,” while she tickles our feet or belly. It’s adorable! She is still babbling “Ma ma” and “Da da.” Her favorite games are “How big is Lucy?” “SOOOOO BIG!”, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Peek-a-Boo, and just clapping along!
We can’t believe how fast this year has gone. What a gift Lucy is to our lives, Thank you God for your kindness to us!
