2.5 Years Old!
Yes, that’s right! If you ask me how old I am going to be on my next birthday, I can show you three with my fingers. Right now I like to talk a lot about birthdays, dresses and princesses.
It was Uncle Jason’s birthday for about three months. Every time Mommy and I would sing happy birthday while washing my hands we sang it to Uncle Jason. Now I have moved my focus to my birthday. Mommy says that I still have a long way to go before it’s my birthday. I know now that my birthday is after Grandpa David’s, I hope that comes really soon.
As for dresses, yes they are still my favorite thing to put on when I wake up. If my dresses are dirty, watch out…melt down city strikes!
My favorite movie right now is Princess and The Frog; Snow White is the runner up. I love to watch the movie and act out different parts. I have a spatula that I use as my oar when pretending to be Princess Tiana on a raft in the movie. Then it magically becomes a spoon when stirring my Gumbo. I am all about pretend play these days. I even wanted my friend Gabriel to put on a dress, but he would rather be a frog! Boys! The other night I asked Mommy “Where’s my Prince?” Mommy said that I couldn’t have a prince until I am big like Mommy. I just replied “Ok.”
I am also getting very excited to start Preschool! My Daddy signed me up about a month ago. I ask Mommy weekly if I can go to Preschool and of course she says yes, but it isn’t for a few more months. So to get me ready for Preschool Mommy has helped me start counting and recognizing letters. So far I know that “E” is for Emily, “D” is for Daddy, “M” is for Mommy, and “G” is for Gabriel or Grandma. I also attempt to write the letter E, which looks pretty good Mommy says. I will have Mommy post a picture so you can see it.
Until next time…Hugs and kisses!
Love,
Emily
