I've once again reached 100% capacity of MB memory on this site. So, I will have to delete some albums. Of course we have all these pictures on our home computer and backed up on our portable harddrive, but I still hate to delete anything from the site! It's just so sad.
We've been busy trying to get healthy - it's harder than you might think. There's always some bug making the rounds at work or daycare...the girls are feeling much better but occassionally a cough will resurface, usually at night. Tim and I are just getting over a little congestion and soar throat. We hope to all be healthy and energized for our trip to Avon, Colorado over President's Weekend (also Valentine's Day weekend)! We're hoping to introduce Paige to alpine skiing and get reaquanted with it ourselves. Tim went skiing for a weekend last year but I haven't been skiing since college...which was a very long 7+ years ago...I might have to start with Paige on the bunny hill, lol. Grandma and Grandpa Swain are meeting us in Avon for the weekend and Uncle Chris will join us for most of the weekend as well. We haven't seen Uncle Chris in over a year so we're really glad he could get the time off from work and school.
We've been busy with life as usual - Tim's been attending a boot-camp fitness class at the Sgt Bluff middle school that he loves - he shows me the exercises they do and encourages me to attend but I'm terrified of passing out mid-session. I'm not boot camp material ;-) I am trying to make more time for the treadmill though - it's hard to make it a priority over sleep.
A quick Paige story before I sign off...this happened last weekend on the way home from an IHOP breakfast while the vehicles were getting their oil changed. It's a conversation between Paige (P) and Tim (T).
P - Who makes everything?T - What do you mean?P - Who made all the people and the fish? T - God, God made everythingP - Did God make that train? T - No, people made the trainP - Did He make this car? T - No, people made this carP - Did He make dirt?T - yesP - (more questions like this until she's sure she understands the difference between the things God made and the things people made)P - Where does God live?T - In heavenP - Where's heaven?T - In the skyP - How do you get to heaven?T - People go to heaven when they die, if they've been goodP - So God died to get to heaven? Did He get Shot? Did a giant step on Him?T - laughing too hard to answer right away...No, He lives thereP - What does He do there? T - He works thereP - What does He do after work?T - His work in never done (still chuckling to himself)
All day she kept wanting to talk more about God. Telling us what she knew about him and asking more questions. I just couldn't stop laughing about the whole "did he get shot" thing - she's her father's daughter for sure - a giant stepping on him is probably a more age appropriate response, so that makes me feel a little better. I also can't stop laughing about Tim saying His work is never done...too funny.
Oh - one more quickie before I forget. Tim was picking Paige up from school a little earlier than usual one day so the whole class is still there. He walks into the classroom toward her cubby to help her get her things - she sees him and also begins walking toward her cubby. She calls out to him as he passes by an autistic boy that's in her class, "Careful, Daddy, Trey Robert hits!" ----- Tim said the teacher rolled her eyes and sighed.
I've met Trey Robert on a couple ocassions - he's usually in the corner behind the door, often playing with a bouncy ball. I always thought he was a sweetheart because one day he saw me, dropped his ball, ran to me, grabbed both my hands in his and swayed like he was dancing. How precious! But I guess he hits too, so watch out for Trey Robert!
Have a great day,
The Swain Family
