That's right! I am the big 2!!! And boy did I have fun celebrating my birthday! I got spoiled rotten AGAIN by my grandmas and my friends. I got lots of cool stuff. Mommy and daddy surprised me with my very own cop car! I screamed like I was a 16 year old getting a real car! I also got some new cars and I am really enjoying playing with them. Including a noisy racetrack that shoots cars around it! Cars are kind of my thing lately!
Turning 2 also meant a trip to the doctor for my 2-year check up! I am growing and developing perfectly healthy according to Dr. Betsy. She even said that my picky eating was even okay for now. In case you don't know, I refuse to eat vegetables but I love all kinds of fruits. My meat group consists of hotdogs mainly with maybe some turkey or ham in there sometimes. Oh well, I don't seem to have a problem growing. Speaking of that... I weighed in at 31 lbs 5 oz (84th percentile) and am 35 inches tall (64th percentile)! Dr. Betsy said that you can double your height at 2 and that will be about how tall you are as an adult. That would put me right about 6 foot! I guess I will be the tallest Bornhoft yet! (You get that if you've seen my Grandpa Geeze, he's a shorty) So I guess I can thank mommy's side for the height... I even did a rock star job with the shots they gave me! Especially since I am on a strict NO PACI rule since the doctor said it would mess with my teeth too much. So I quit cold turkey and (knock on wood) it has gone really well. I have learned to nap and fall asleep without it and I didn't even cry at bedtime! Yay!!! Let's just hope that continues!
I am still shocking mom and dad with all the things that I can do and everything that I learn and remember each day! I have complete sentences and most of what I say is actual words and not just babble. With that brings a fair amount of "no's" when I don't want something.
We are excited that the weather is cooling off a bit these days. That means that we can get outside and enjoy it instead of sweating the whole time. I got my first big owie the other night playing outside. I was running so fast in the driveway that I feel and really scrapped up my knee. Don't you worry I am milking it for all it is worth. Just when I think you forgot about it I will point to my knee and say "my owie!" Or "owie from driveway, I fall down." I don't know what I'll do for attention when it heals completely???
Sorry there aren't that many new pictures. It's been busy since mommy is back to work and we have been playing so much that we forget to take pictures. It's kind of hard when it's just me and dad or me and mom but mommy will have to do better! My new favorite thing is to climb on mommy and say "Bronco!" so that she will give me a bronco ride! It's super fun and I scream and giggle. I also love my snuggle time before bed with mommy. I grab the blanket and bring it over and say "mommy's snuggle bunny" and climb up in her lap. Mom says it's the best part of her day!
Well thanks for checking on me and stop back soon for another update! Love, Brady
