Finally the weather seems to be warming up and spring is just around the corner. The big news for Brayden lately is soccer. He has been so excited to finally join a soccer team and his time has come. He is on a team with the Y and has been practicing for a couple of weeks. We couldn't be prouder of Brayden and how well he is doing. His outgoing personality followed him on the field and he is definately a competitor (go figure with his parents... haha!). We are so excited for his first game in a few days and we are thrilled he has found his first sport that he seems to love. We are hoping this is the first of many. We have been looking forward to getting him into team sports since he was born so it is so exciting to see him enjoy it so much!!

In other news, Brayden is doing GREAT in school!! His teacher says he is a quick learner and has been setting the example in his class for using good maners (yaaaahhhh!!!). Sometimes he really does amaze us with how much he knows (including correcting his Mommy on things here and there!). Since Brayden missed the cutoff for pre-k last year (his birthday was 18 days too late) he will be starting pre-k officially this year. He is always going to be the older kid in school which is ok, but I am just hoping his teacher next year will keep him challenged and his mind growing since he has already learned so much this year. We have enrolled him in the "pre-k lottery" for addmission in the nearby Elementary school. They only have 20 spots and over a 100 kids applying so it will be a long shot but honpefully his name is picked!! We should find out in the next couple weeks if he got it. If he isn't selected he will go to a nearby private pre-k. We moved here specifically for the nearby elementary school because of their excellent reputation so we are really hoping he gets in!!

Brayden is also getting exciting about the new baby. He tells strangers at the store there is a belly in my tummy and talking about the little one all the time. Since we still don't know the gender yet he always says he thinks it's a girl. However, last week he woke up and told me right away he had a dream that the baby was a boy. So who knows? :) He is being very patient but excited for the new baby. He has been the center of our worl for 4 and a half years so it will be an ajustment for him, but we really thing he is going to be a huge help for us and the baby! Brayden is such a sweet and very loving child that we know he will have a lot of love for his new brother or sister.
