Well sorry it has been so long! I actually updated the journal a couple of months ago, but since it took so long before I hit "save" my informaiton was lost! Oh well, that is life with technology sometimes!
Since the last journal a lot has happened! We have since put our house up for sale, sold it (in less than 2 months), decided we are going to build a new house, and moved in with my parents! On top of that we took several trips to Lake Cumberland and one trip to Naples, FL for our first family vacation. In fact, it was our first vacation since Nate and I honeymooned 4 years ago! We were overdue. Zoe loved the ocean and the birds, and had a blast swimming all week! She was an angel on the plane which was my biggest concern.
The house that we are building hasn't broke ground yet so we have about 5 more months before we are in. Right now we are going through the fun part of deciding everything we want in the house. Next week we will sign off on everything, then we break ground about a week after that.
The big news is that Zoe turned 2 this weekend! I still can't believe how fast the past 2 years have gone by, and how much our baby has grown. She is talking in full sentences now and had such a great time at her party. Opening up all the gifts was a struggle since she would want to play with the present she had just opened, but we finally got through it and we spent the rest of the weekend just playing. She also ate a huge piece of cake and slept in the next morning until 11 am! She also took a 2.5 hour nap yeterday and was angry when we woke her up. Zoe has become a great player...constantly playing tea party, taking care of her babies, or just being silly. She loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses, and just melt your heart with her sweetness. We are so excited to be building this house which is closer to friends and family, and will allow more space for our family to play together, and expand. This Friday Nate and I are taking off work to take Zoe to the zoo, something we have never done with her (athough she went once with her Grammy this summer but we can't wait to take her ourselves). I will try to upload pictures as soon as possible!
Kindest Regards,
The Epp Family
