Well, we are a little short of two weeks post op and it's amazing the difference in Vic toria over the past two days. She is more like herself, acting more settled and patient. She's been such a trooper through all of this and it's nice to see her settling down emotionally and mentally since the surgery.
We had a cardiology appt on Friday and she was taken off one med and had one reduced. We go back in a month to hopefully get off the rest of the diruetics. We had to have a chest x-ray and blood test with this appt and while she was NOT happy to comply, she did it. She is so brave and strong.
She and Nathan are doing well. Talking and playing. She had on Nate's flip flops this morning that have the heel strap and they were watching TV in Tori's room. I heard the blood curdling scream coming from her room, ran back there and Nate was at the end of her legs trying to pull them off her feet and she was MAD. So - after having Nathan ask her if he could have his shoes back instead of attacking her and finally getting her to release his shoes, I was explaining to her that she scared me screaming like that and she needed to deal with Nathan in a more normal tone of voice. She looked right at me and calmly explained that "girls like to scream and it's what girls do". I wonder what the teenage years will bring....................
We are so thankful these days. Life is good.Kindest Regards, The Hall Family
