| My Babysite | | | Welcome to Janiya Jade's page!
We were blessed to welcome Janiya into our family on April 7th, 2008. She came back to Virginia with us two weeks later and we are excited to be settling in as a family.
Janiya's birthday is November 21st, 2005. Her favorite color seems is purple, for the moment. She is a rooster in the Chinese calendar, which predicts that she will be "a deep thinker, capable, and talented." We have already found her to be adventurous, agile, silly, playful, and very loving.
A note about her name (since there's been some curiosity):
Janiya was given to her by her birth mother - a beautiful name that we didn't even consider changing.
Jade is a middle name we gave her. She didn't have one, so we didn't change anything. Jade is part of my grandmother's (Popo's) Chinese name: "Yuk Lin" - translated "Jade Lotus".
We are so excited to have Janiya in our family, and can't wait to grow together and begin some new family traditions.
