WOW! How fast time flies! I know it has been quite a while since our last e-mail, and picture refreshment, but we finally got Ellie’s 9-12 mo, Christmas, and birthday pictures up. Katy is growing up so fast, and she is so smart! Our parents as teachers representative consistently scores her as advanced development, especially in language. She is speaking in double-digit sentences, and is SO active I have a hard time keeping her tired!

Elli is walking like a pro. She took her first steps just days before her 1st birthday, and has been working hard at it ever since. She beat her sister on that one! Katy did not walk until 14 months.

K and E play well together about 70% of the time. The other 30% consists of one or the other taking a toy. We are working hard on this but I am assured by those wiser than I that it a trend that will continue throughout their lives. The cutest thig they do lately is ridding on the power wheels together Ellie on the back holding on to Katy, or Ellie in the front pushing the button while Katy steers. Hugs are enthusiastic, and Katy tells anyone who comes near Ellie that “Ellie is my sister”!

We partied in out Neighborhood Park this year, and had a ball. We got a rare clear, warm, precipitation free day because we canceled our original party date due to epidemic flu that struck all our cousins. Luckily we never showed any symptoms.
