 Halloween and other fall adventures

I love being a big boy.  I get to drink out of big boy cups, I get to eat big boy size portions, and I get to participate in all kinds of big boy activities like trick or treating!  Halloween was so much fun this year!  Last year I definitely had a great time, but was more interested in putting my fingers in the lit jack-o-lanterns, but this year I really understood the importance of this holiday.  Mommy and Daddy had been talking to me about trick-or-treating, and telling me about my job to ring the doorbells, and we'd been practicing my "line" for weeks.  When Halloween came, I couldn't have been more excited.  Not only did I get to wear the coolest outfit ever (I told you-I'm really into firetrucks), but I was ready to execute what I'd been practicing for so long.  And I did great!  I rang the doorbells, said "Trick or treat, give me candy please" (in case they didn't know what I was looking for) - and wouldn't you know it-it worked!  Not only did it work at one neighbor's house - it worked in the whole neighborhood!  I still talk about my adventure in trick-or-treating.  I'm thinking about writing someone to see if we can up that holiday to twice a year.

The other parts of my fall have been just as fun.  I've been going to school with Mommy once a week and while it's been quite an adjustment having to do this sharing thing, I really do love it.  I get to paint, play in the sandbox, and there are so many fun toys to play with.  My vocabulary has also been growing in leaps and bounds, and I talk in pretty complete sentences these days.  My favorite saying these days is "What this called, Mommy?" and I really am soaking up all the words I hear.  With my ever growing vocabulary, I'm starting to do more make believe play.  We've been building some cool Lego structures, so I can have my Lego boy do things.  The other day we built a car, and Mommy asked where the boy was going, and I said "Going to get beer.  Put the beer in the back of the car, Lego boy".  Needless to say, Mommy is a little bit worried about what my teenage years hold.
