Over the river and down I-85!

What a wonderful month I have had! Three big road trips and tons of family to visit. Plus a few extra fun things along the way.

First up, Roanoke, VA. Mommy and I drove up with Papa and Joni to Roanoke to my Great Grandmommy's house. (Daddy came up later that night). When we arrived, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Sue and Eric & Mathew were there to greet us too! We had a wonderful dinner at Grandmommy's house. She had a real bird that would tweet and sing. At first I was a little bit scared by it, but before long I really started to enjoy watching it and listening to it sing.

The next day we went to a big party. One of my cousin's, Allen, is getting married. So we had a big party for him and I was able to meet some very nice people. Almost everyone from Daddy's side of the family were there too!! Let's see if I remember everyone: Papa & Joni (of course), Great Grandmommy, Aunt Lisa, Eric, Matthew, Aunt Sue & Uncle Fred, Adam, Uncle David & Aunt Trish, Tommy, Hailey, Izabella, & Aiden. Plus lots of extended family and friends. We were all in for a treat as Allen and his band played some songs for us later in the evening. It was very nice to hear him play and he is a very good singer.

On Sunday we all met up for breakfast! Party of 18 your table is now ready!! I love eating out as there is so much to see and do and having 17 other people to entertain just makes it that much more fun.

We were only home for a few days and then it was back in the car for road trip #2 - Atlanta, GA. Daddy was taking a class in Atlanta for work, so Mommy took most of the week off and we stayed with Uncle Jed & Aunt Brandy, oh and Alec! Alec has grown so much and he is as tall as me and lots of fun to play with. He was very nice to share his toys and we had a great time playing on scooters, solving puzzles and listening to stories together. If you have not already, you should go to my shutterfly website and look at the video of the two of us together: Jocelyn's Shutterfly Website. Which reminds me...my baby site page will only hold so many photos and videos. So if want more photos and videos of me, always look there too!

While in Atlanta we took a morning trip to the Georgia Aquarium. There was so much to see and so many ishies (fish)!! Ishies here, ishies there...ishies ishies everywhere! I had a lot of fun with Uncle Jed, Aunt Brandy, Alec and Mommy there. I saw whales, and sharks, and whale sharks! Jelly fish, star fish, sea otters, sea horses, sting rays, well if it lives in the ocean it I saw them! I can't wait to go back and show Daddy all that is there.

Toward the end of our Atlanta trip I went with Mommy & Daddy to Selvi & Tim's house. They are long time friends of Mommy & Daddy's. I had a great time playing with their two daughters, Devi & Alexia. We all then drove to another good friends house, Mario & Carla (their kids Christian & Kayla); and Vic & Seema met us there. I played with Shreya (Vic & Seema's daughter) a lot as she is only a few months older than me. We had a blast!

Before I knew it, we said goodbye to Atlanta and headed for home. But as I said, there were 3 road trips in all! Next up, Westminster & Walhalla SC, with a pit stop in Greenville.

We started off the morning in Greenville where I had lunch with Papa & Joni. I love visiting their house because they have this long hallway that I can run up and down! Papa, Daddy & Mommy took me for a walk around downtown Greenville and we stopped off for ice cream. I am not sure why, I am yet to become a huge fan of ice cream, but I had a few bites of Mommy's and it was yummy.

After our afternoon treat it was time to move on to our next stop, Westminster, SC to visit my Great Aunt Ruth. She has some really pretty figurines of birds that I liked and she was nice enough to let me play with them. Mommy & Daddy were worried I may break them, but I was careful. After a lot of playing and dinner we spent the night with Aunt Ruth. The next morning, it was time again for us to move to our next stop, Walhalla, SC.

In Walhalla, we visited with my Uncle Keith and Aunt Deidra, Cory, Colby, Tyler & Tabitha and baby Ryleigh. Aunt Shelby and Uncle John from Florida were in town, so it was a great time for a visit. Mamajane & Papa Doc were there, Uncle Jed, Aunt Brandy & Alec came too! We also got to play in Uncle Keith's pool.

Well, it seemed to fly by, but it was again time to get in the car and head back home.

1200 Miles, 3 weeks of travel, 8 nights away from home...time with family and friends, priceless!

Love,
Jocelyn
