| | 1st Story Time @ the Library
Date: 11/10/2009Now that Melina's only taking an afternoon nap, we went to our first Baby Steps Story Time at the library this morning. There were about 10 kids and moms, including us, and we had lots of fun. Ms. Katy led us through lots of fun songs and finger plays, and we were each given a lift-the-flap book to follow along as she read. Melina was fine until we started singing, and then she suddenly wasn't so sure about things, grabbing my neck and boo-hooing. The Itsy Bitsy Spider (one of her favorite songs) caught her attention, though, and she was more interested after that. After the story time was over, we were all allowed to hang around in the story time room to socialize, and it was neat to meet the other kids and moms and chat & play for a bit. Unfortunately, this was the last story time until January, but we'll be sure to have it on our calendar! |
