Laura has started to figure out the potty. She’s managed to have dry diapers at day care and announces the minute we step into Dana’s house (our daycare provider) that she has to go. Dana has been giving her yummy Easter candy every time she goes and I swear Laura has linked drinking with peeing as she’s been downing the juice in the morning so she arrives at daycare with a “full tank”.
Speaking of figuring things out, Laura has a clock that turns blue when it’s time for bed and yellow when it’s time to wake up. The clock cost $60 and at first I was very skeptical of this time machine considering the fact that when we got it when Laura hadn’t even mastered her colors yet. My skepticism turned to pure awe and she has obeyed like clock like the gospel. One morning I heard her yelling that she had to go potty but her clock was still blue. I came in and told her she could go and then come back to bed. She said, “It’s okay, I turn it yellow.” She proceeded to hold the buttons down to make the clock turn yellow and ran out of the room to go pee. So much for that!
Sam was baptized this weekend. Although the weather was dreary we still had a great time with the Schulz and Green families. One of the highlights of the baptism was the Minute to Win It games we played with the kids. GG won Blow the Cards and Eric won Junk in the Trunk. We are blessed!
