I had my second doctor appointment on September 18. I am a little behind but I have just been so busy lately, and not to mention, extremely tired! The past couple of weeks I have regained my energy back from the first trimester. Thats right, I am now officially in the second trimester at 131/2 weeks! YAY :) I am actually staying awake past 7:30 now! I have had a good pregnancy so far. I feel really blessed to not have had any problems. The only symptoms I have had are fatigue and hunger. I was sick for a week or so but it didn't last long.
At my second appointment, Louie and I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! It was so amazing and made it seem so real. Baby G's heart was beating 181 bpm. All of the books say that a fast heartbeat is a girl, but Louie still thinks it is a boy. I really don't care what the sex is, just as long as he/she is healthy. I had gained one whole pound at this visit. I couldn't believe it! I have been eating like crazy and my clothes really don't fit anymore. The doctor said that it was normal and a good thing that I had only gained one pound. She said everything looked great! I have my next doctor appointment this Wed., Oct. 15. I am getting so anxious!
Louie and I also toured The Suites at River Oaks this month to decide where I want to birth. I thought it was really nice but we are still going to look at Woman's and St. D. as well.
